    Forty people were in attendance at the first official meeting of Peoples Savings Loan and Building Company on January 27th, 1888. Our first location was in the insurance office of A. J. Richards.

  • First Loan Made

    The first loan made by Peoples Savings Loan and Building Company was on February 6, 1888 for $1,750.00.

  • Our Second Building with our current name, Peoples Savings and Loan Company.

    This is our second building, found at 236 East Mansfield Street across from the YMCA.

    In this year, the name of our institution was shortened to Peoples Savings and Loan Company.

  • Our Third Move for Peoples Savings and Loan Company

    Thirty-seven years later, in October of 1925, we moved again.  This time we moved into our “spacious quarters” at 207 South Sandusky Ave.  The rooms in this building were considered to be spacious by 1925 standards.  The business started growing rapidly during this time.

    Peoples Savings and Loan Company have an open house for their new building at South Walnut and East Rensselaer Streets. This was held on Saturday June 15th from 3:00 to 9:00PM.
