Android Phone antivirus and upgrade information

If you have an Android phone and can check for updates or upgrades, please do this.  They have numerous updates and have upgraded operating systems that fix security flaws.

It is strongly suggested to install antivirus on an android device.  This is important as it will scan applications to ensure that they have not been compromised and are viruses that look like legitimate apps.

Here are a few suggestions for Antivirus for your Android Operating System:
Sophos Antivirus – This is a free full antivirus full protection for your phone.  It will probably use a bit more battery, but it will secure your entire phone and files.  Make sure to allow everything to get the full protection.

Malwarebytes Antivirus– This one is a good cross between protection and ease of use.  It does a good job, but it is not quite as thorough as Sophos.

Bitdefender Antivirus – Simple basic app protection only.  No battery impact.

    • For most android phones, you would go to the play store and search for one of the mentioned (or your preference of antivirus) apps. Once you find it you would then install it on your phone and the launch the app. The one thing you will find is most antivirus apps will request administrative access to your phone. If it does you will need to allow it.
      Thanks for the question.
